First you need to decide which page of your site will have RealEstateCritic. It's a good idea to create a new page just for RealEstateCritic because it takes up quite a bit of space on a page (800x1500). Your site may already have a top section which contains your site title and may also have a navigation section on the side of the page (see sample layout #2).
You should put the RealEstateCritic HTML code in your page such that RealEstateCritic appears in the main body portion of your web page.
Remember to create a link to your new RealEstateCritic page from your homepage. If your webmaster is the only one who can update your web page, you should ask them to help you with this code placement. You can also contact us and we can help.
Go to Step#2
Once you have decided on your page layout and where to put your RealEstateCritic Client Site HTML code, you're ready to add the HTML code to your web page. Copy and Paste this code into the section of your webpage that you decided on in Step#1.
You must also customize this code for your website by simply replacing the purple Client text with the name of your website. For example if your website URL is www.sherrieconnelly.com, then your code would be:
After adding this code, you should be able to view your page with your web browser and it should look like the example to the right. If you installed the code correctly, you should notice an ominous looking Unknown Error message on your web page. Don't worry, we'll fix that in the next step. Verify that your page layout looks good and if necessary adjust the placement of your HTML code within your web page. If you have questions at this step, you can contact us and we will help you.
Go to Step#3
You're now ready to activate your RealEstateCritic portal which will get rid of that ominous looking error message. Simply send us an email telling us what client text you used in your HTML code.
In this example, you would send us an email telling us your Client name is sherrieconnelly.
Your RealEstateCritic portal will be activated within 24 hours of receiving your email. Once your RealEstateCritic portal is activated, the error message will disappear and the RealEstateCritic portal will look normal and is ready to be used. See the activated portal sample on the right.
Go to Step#4
