Personal Information that We May Collect Online
In order to provide the best in customer service, we may ask you to share "personal information" — such as your name, e-mail address, city, and state. We want you to understand our policy regarding the collection and use of your personal information. Unless you otherwise consent, we will use your personal information only for the purpose for which it is submitted, such as to reply to your emails, handle your complaints, and process requests related to your membership participation. The Personal Information Collected
You must register in order to use RealEstateCritic software. New user registration requires at minimum: a username, password, and email address.
  • Membership offers you the ability to save your property analysis information on our Site. Becoming a member is free and easy to do. When you register to become a member, you will be asked to share with us certain basic personal information such as your name, e-mail address, and password. After becoming a member, you can visit or update the personal information in your personal profile at any time. If you register through a portal within one of our Client Sites, your personal information will be shared with that Client Site at our discretion. A Client Site is a web site which pays to have RealEstateCritic software on its site. For example, if you register to use RealEstateCritic through BiggerPockets.com, your personal information may be shared with BiggerPockets
  • User login statistics are gathered. We maintain a database of your usage which includes the date and time you registered, the last data and time you logged in, as well as the number of times you logged in. This information may also be shared with our Client Sites at our discretion.
  • From time to time, in an effort to improve our service, we may ask third parties to conduct marketing-research analyses on our behalf and, as such, the information we provide to them is restricted to marketing-research analyses only. Any personal information we provide to such third parties is protected under confidentiality agreements.
  • We may disclose your personal information if you violate any governmental, regulatory or other enforcement agency law, rule, or regulation. Unless otherwise prohibited by law or our contractual obligations, we may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or as requested by a governmental or law enforcement authority, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable. When we send emails to members, we will provide the option to our member to subscribe or unsubscribe to our e-mails within the content of the email. At any time you can add or remove your name from a RealEstateCritic.com mailing list by contacting us at privacy@realestatecritic.com.

What We Won't Do With Personal Information
We will not sell or rent your personal information to any third parties (except Client Sites). A Client Site is a web site which has a special relationship with RealEstateCritic.com usually because a Client Site pays to have our software on its site. When you register to user RealEstateCritic software via a Client Site, your personal information may be shared with that Client Site at our discretion.

Security
Security of our members' personal information is important to us. As a member, your personal information is password-protected. If you ever forget your password, click on the "forgot your password?" link and your password will be emailed to you. Remember to log out of your account and close your browser window when you have finished visiting our Site in order to ensure that others cannot access your personal information. To protect personal information transmitted to us, we use a security system that includes restricted access to stored profile information, and security restrictions to our databases and systems. We permit authorized personnel only to access personal information. Since we do not control transmissions over the Internet, via commercial Internet service providers, and/or the security of your personal computer, we cannot guarantee 100 percent secure transmission via the Internet. Use of the Internet is at your own risk. Also, it is important that you take steps to protect yourself against unauthorized access to your computer and your password.

Except as covered above, this Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices or policies of any companies or entities that we do not own or control, including Client Sites and links to sites that are not maintained by us, or to people that we do not employ or manage.
